A birthday suprise. . .

I think I can safely say that my sister is the last person in the world I would expect to be reading my blog so posting a picture here of her upcoming birthday gift should be fairly safe. Christine if you are reading this post Shhhh it's a suprise. . .

It's a maternal line bracelet with ruby swarvoski crystals representing the rubies that would be there if I was able to afford them as the birthstone of July. Thats my sister in the middle on her wedding day and next to her is our mother on her wedding day. Thinking about it that makes our mother younger than my sister here. They were both younger than I was when I got married. . .  I am really pleased with how it's turned out.

We've got a whole host of birthdays coming up, my husband the day before my sister and my eldest son two days after. We're having a Peppa Pig party next Friday for some of his friends. That means I have to make a Peppa Pig cake. .  .Hmm there may or may not be pictures of this to follow. :o)

We're creeping ever closer to the 100 cut off for the giveaway I mentioned in my last two posts. Do pass it on and hopefully we'll be there in the near future.

Have a great week everyone.

92 and counting. . .

Well my last post was about my upcoming giveaway and also my attempts to reach 100+ followers. I have gained 4 new comers since then and I have enjoyed popping over and meeting them at their blogs. I may also have accidently found myself spending some money in the process. . . OPPS!!
But it was I feel worth it. I am waiting for my packet with anticipation. In the meantime here is a little sample from said offenders folksy shop. . .
BlueDaisyGlass has a fab shop over at Folksy with lots of pretty things including these gorgeous blue earrings

(which I rather like actually). . . but I have resisted the temptation though I did purchase another of her lovely goodies which I shall picture here when it arrives.
I have been busy over on Folksy today with listing items and trying to get myself stocked up again after my little break. Here is a little sample of what's on display so far. . .
Now I must be off to sort out photos and items that have yet to be photographed and all that jazz. . .
Take care.  :o)

Time for a . . .

GIVEAWAY
I have decided that a bit of a 'spring clean' is in order. A little late for spring perhaps a 'summer sweep'.
I am going to have a through going through of my crafting collection and the things I keep holding onto just in case I am going to finally part with. There is just too much 'stuff' stored away. My husband would say I am a horder. I would say it's just being thrifty. . .
Anyway whan I have started I will put up some pictures of the things I am giving away. I may even add in a few suprises.
For an entry you need to be a follower and leave a comment. If you tweet then tweet about this for an extra entry or you can blog it.
The draw will take place when I have reached the elusive 100+ followers.
I will leave you with this picture of a bracelet I sold at the weekend. I love the inclusions in the jade making each bead unique. I shall be making more semi precious jewellery when I have reorganised myself. :0)

1,2,3,4,5!

It seems to have been a while since I was here, we had a busy week. Hubby was away, little one wasn't sleeping much and jobs just seemed to pile up. But things seem to have settled down again now and we even had FOUR nights unbroken sleep over the weekend!
I had a nice suprise on Tuesday morning, the postman knocked far too early for my liking but he had a package in my name. It was a gift from my lovely husband. The package contained a selection of glass pearls, a mix bag of red glass beads, 3 in 1 pliers, a bead mat, gold coloured nylon coated wire and a whole selection of gold and silver plated findings. I have a discount voucher for the company they came from, a catalogue, an ideas sheet and a basic hints and tips booklet.
I made myself a necklace using a focal bead I was sent in a folksy swap last year. I have been holding onto it waiting for the right inspiration to come along.
(I'll try and post a picture when little one not asleep on me)
Then on Wednesday morning there was another knock, though not so early, this time it was an order I had placed for a few custom items. I made a memory wire bracelet and it was purchased by a friend of mine, she then ordered one in black and red and following that she asked for 3. so here they are:
First in bright yellow!
Next in post box red.
And my favourite mix is this bright blue mix.
I just hope she likes them too!

Spring Time. . .

After my slightly disappointing failure to complete my very tiny challenge I have struck back today and listed a few new items on my Folksy shop page and I have put aside a few bits for the Christals Creations web site.
Last night I sat down and made a couple of new pieces. One of which I have decided to give my friends daughter for her birthday. The other of which shall be coming soon to a website near you.

Today also saw us planting out rows of vegetable seeds in our recently dug garden patch. I am not sure how good the soil is but hopefully we shall see some results. The sweet corn and tomatoes are in pots inside waiting to shoot. Every day hubby asks are they growing yet?

I hope the weather stays like this. I would like to try taking photos outside and using the nautral light to see if I can enhance them slightly.

Some new additions . . .

to my Folksy page.
I have been making lots of presents recently and haven't really been making things for the shop but I have added a few new bits and pieces this week.
This silver cross is hallmarked with my own mark. It is cut from silver sheet and hammered on both sides to create different effects.
Pretty swarovski crystals make these earrings shimmer in the light. Perfect to brighten up your outfit.
Lastly I have choosen this 'wedding' set to show you, memory wire choker, bracelet which closes with a heart shaped toggle clasp and pretty matching earrings all created with glass pearls and crystals.
I am hoping to create some new items soon when I have finished all the gifts. I have lots of beads calling out to me but must finish what I have started.
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
