What a Win. . .

This is a really quick one just to say how lucky I was to receive the prize from the giveaway I blogged about recently.
The book arrived in the week and it looks fab. I have not had a chance to sit and read it yet, I'm hoping now the little ones are settling into a new routine that i'll get some times in the evenings.
I hope you are all having a fab weekend.

New Year Madness!

Not only have I signed up to the Bloggy Love swap next month. I have somewhat foolishly perhaps agreed to take on the Make a Month challenge hosted by Annie at The Felt Fairy. I have set myself the added challenge of trying something new every month rather than making an item of jewellery each month.
This month I have gone for a nice and easy cross stitch picture I was given last christmas. It's not finished yet but I shall be sure to post a picture when it is.
If you are up for a bit of a challenge then pop over and take a look.

Pick of the Blogs. . .

I have been catching up on some blog reading this morning in between Thomas puzzles and Tumbling Acorns and I have come across a rather fab giveaway.
Annie over at The Felt Fairy is offering not 1 but 2 copies of this fab looking book to two lucky blog followers. Her rules for entry are very simple making it easy for everyone to be in with a chance. So why not pop over and see if you can get lucky at the start of the new year.

Good Luck everyone!!

New Year

I have been reading over the blogs I follow and all the recent posts from people about new years resolutions and plans they have made.
I haven't really made any resolutions this year. I think about things I would quite like to get done but nothing set in stone.
I have been inspired to try new crafts and to learn new skills just reading through others pages, I have thought about writing some targets down. Goals to achieve in 2011. But I just haven't gotten round to it.

I think about doing something and a little voice says 'Mummy I need a wee on my potty', 'Mummy help it please', 'Mummy baby Sean crying', 'Mummy I want something else, I want food Mummy'.

For now I think i'll just stick to keeping the house in some sort of order, being Mummy and Daddy while hubby is away working for the next few months and trying not to go insane with the terrible two's. I will however continue to enjoy reading everyone elses blogs posts on how they are getting on.

Good Luck everyone with your 2011 goals and resolutions.

Bloggy Love - Swap for 2011

I haven't been in on a blog swap for a while now and I just spotted this one on a fellow bloggers site so I popped over to have a look and have signed up.
It's nice and simple and there is plenty of time to get organised as the posting date is 4th Feb.
So if you'd like a suprise on Valentines Day then get over to Sew Special Bears and sign up for some Bloggy Love.

'Tis the season. . .

Well it's almost upon us and I think we are all ready. . .
Today we spent the afternoon baking, flapjacks, mince pastry 2yr old style, mini mince pies. . . and I was asked to make a christmas house. Tomorow if i'm feeling up to it i'll bake a batch of gingerbread and we can build a simple house.
We have wrapped until I can't cut straight anymore. I have been trying to pass presents out as we go but I still can't get in the spare room comfortably. Next year it will be the youngest bedroom so we have to be way more organised. And perhaps buy smaller and fewer gifts for people.
Tomorrow hubby is baking a yule log for the family reunion get together. It will be the first time in 7 years all my family are in one place and the family has grown somewhat since then. My eldest brother has had two boys, my younger brother a boy and a girl, I have been married and have had 2 children. It's only my sister who hasn't added any more to this madness. In total we will be 20 in my parents house for Xmas lunch and present opening. It's going to be choas. . . enjoyable but choas!

I wish you all the very best for Xmas and the New Year.

Santa Days. . .

I was hoping that by now I would be able to say I had Christmas all wrapped up as it were but with delayed deliveries and things going out of stock left right and centre it's not been that easy.
We have had to make a few substitutions but we are getting there, two more to buy and lots of deliveries anticipated and it'll all be over for another 12 months.
We have been lucky (?) enough to see the man in red twice in two days with another two expected sitings this week. Luckily at 2yrs and 2mths neither of them noticed he looked completely different and had lost his glasses. In a few years we may not be so lucky.
As we are waiting for the pics to be sent through and as I just spent 15 mins trying to load old pics from last year this will be a bland post with no pics but I shall put some in my next post.
I shall try not to leave it so long this time.
