And the winner is. . .

. . .
I have put all the entries into a hat, (well a plastic bag really), and given them a shake.
Closed my eyes tightly and dug around for a winner. . .

It is JC a new comer to my blog who I have yet to get acquainted with. I shall be in touch for an address to send out the earrings to. Congratulations!!!!

As it is soon to be my big 30 I am contemplating running another giveaway in the near future.

I'll keep you posted. . .

Pleasant shock!

Having just commented on the lovely Sugarmouse's blog after hearing I wasn't the winner of her fab giveaway that I never win anything I have now to eat my words.
I checked in to my email to discover I am in fact the rather pleased winner of who ate my crayons recent giveaway. A years free web hosting! Now I am thinking what to do with it. . .
I have fairly recently launched a website with Mr Site so that's a bit of a pain. But I have a couple of ideas up my sleeve.
I hadn't really planned this post so I didn't have any pics in mind but I will leave you with one from my recent holiday. Not something we see here very often. :o)

Twitter 100 Giveaway. . .

After a bit of pondering on my last post I have decided that a 'Twitter 100' giveaway is in order. And as I hit 100 not long after the post I think today is a good day to start it off.
I currently have 3 boxes full of made up pieces of jewellery some are already listed on my Folksy page and my own website Christals Creations. Others are either waiting to be photographed or to be listed. And one, (pictured below), is going to be sent out to the lucky winner of this giveaway!
As with most of the giveaways I have seen or have entered there will be more than one way to try and win. Follow my blog and then choose from one or all of the list below.
1. Visit my www.christalscreations.com webpage and tell me which piece you like the most and why.
2. Blog about this giveaway and post a link.
3. Tweet about this giveaway and post a link.
4. Join my facebook page and let me know you are entering.
The winner will be pulled from a hat on Wednesday 13th Jan.
Good Luck Everyone.

Twitter Mania.

There was a flurry of activity at lunch time on Twitter. People seemed to have a manic surge all at once. I noted that I have made it up to 99 followers and was pondering having a giveaway. Either when I reach 100 or possibly to up the challenge a little and wait till I make it to 150! I shall have to ponder a little more on this and see where it takes me. . .

Other news from today is not terribly exciting. I have been making bread and it is cooling now, the smell is making me hungry.
I haven't done any more packing for the impending move. I really should get on with this as we have under a week now. Tomorrow we are on a day trip which rules out that for packing too.
I have however started a cross stitch I was given for Xmas. It is only a small one featuring Raymond Briggs - Snowman. I received his Father Christmas too.

Thoughts for Thursday.

Well it has been another snowy day here as I expect it has been for most of you. We didn't venture out but did watch the blizzards from the window. All the local boys gathered in the park outside and had a snowball fight after lunch, almost made me want to be a child again.
I was feeling a bit homey this afternoon and so I baked a batch of scones. They were rather yummy if I do say so myself, even the monkey came back for more. He was a bit of a jammy mess by the time he had finished.
Hubby and I then ate a rather large dinner and i'm now more than a little stuffed! He is busy X-boxing, organising his play army as if he didn't do enough of that at work. . .
So I took the opportunity to list a new item in my Folksy shop. It is another of my new glass pearl 'weddings and occassions' range. Though of course can be used for any other wear too. :o)

Knock Knock . . .

I was just about to leave the house this morning to take the monkey out to see his friends when there was a knocking at the front door. It was our postie with a very exciting package for me. I was already running late so I had to leave the important job of opening it until we came home.
I can't post you a picture of the exact contents just in case the intended receipient of said package happens to be reading this and spies it's for her but here is a picture of a similar item from the folksy shop JK Knits and Bits where it was purchased.

Karen has a whole assortment of bits and pieces and is well worth a visit if you are looking for something special.

A productive day

I am ever so impressed with myself today, not only have I managed to pack two boxes of stuff for our up and coming move but I have managed to list 4 items on Folksy. And the day is not over yet.
I have been using some green drawbench beads to make a small selection of items. I bought them at the bead fair at Newmarket's Rowley Mile last November. They were from a lovely little shop called Silver Moon beads. I purchased a few other things from them that day too. Lovely glass pearls. Yet to be shown to my workbench.

This bracelet is just one of the pieces I have made using my new beads.

I am going to pop over to my reading list now and catch up on what has been going on with everyone else. :o)
