3 of 7. . .

I set myself a little target on Friday to list at least one item a day for a week in my Folksy shop. I am pleased to say that so far it is going ok. I have managed to stick to it and list an item a day.
I strayed from my animal theme today as I realised I had missed out a couple of the glass pearl items I had made previously.
I am hoping that come Thursday I shall be able to say I did it and even continue until all my collection of items has been added to either folksy or my own website.
Then of course i'll have an excuse to start on more designs.

New additions. . .

I have been attempting to get a bit more get up and go where this jewellery business is concerned. It's all very well to think about it but another to do it. I was in Waterstones earlier buying new storybooks for the wee one and I had a look on the hobby and craft section, but while browsing I realised I didn't need another book to look through. . . I needed to stop thinking about the things I could do and start doing them. I have started off by adding a few new things to my folksy shop. Do pop over and take a look.
I am planning on getting it stocked up again before the beginning of April. Lots of listings expired and a few things even sold!
I am going to leave you with a taste of things to come. . .

Exciting Times. . .

I have been following House of Istria for a while now and this week they have been doing an awesome piece on PR and getting yourself out there.
I have been making notes and coming up with lists of things to get on with and I am strangely excited by it all.
I have a few ideas and i'm hoping to get myself organised and to start with my fresh outlook all for the beginning of April. I will need to keep track of my doings in order to make sure I achieve all this. I feel a new planner is needed. . .
Spring time, new beginnings and all that goes with it.

A little spring feeling!

A sneak preview. . .

I have just been having a little bit of a tidy up and an organise of my lap top and I thought i'd share a few pictures with you. All animals today. . .

This first one is of some pretty crystal elephants I found at a trade fair which I have turned into a lovely pair of earrings.

Followed by a colourful wooden bracelet adorned with dragonfly charms which were originally for a custom charm bracelet and I was lucky enough to have a few left over.

I love the bright colours, the tactile beads and the almost childlike appeal this bracelet has.

My last one for today is a pair of hemeatite butterflies I was given by a friend who was having a clear out. They too have become a pair of stunning earrings. I can't decide whether to keep them or add them to my shop.

That is all for my little jewellery menagerie today. Perhaps I should go and add some of these items to my webpage now you've all had a sneak preview.

Webpage first de-clutter sale!

I said I would add a pic of the first item I sold from my webpage. It didn't want to play yesterday but seems fine this morning.
Now I know some of you will think well that wasn't hard to do she just put a cross on a chain. And it's true but I had a big old stash of bits I didn't have plans for and clearing them out is a vital part of sorting out the craft/workshop and getting it organised to suit it's intended purpose.

I am off now to post a couple of letters, (no parcels today sadly), and to recycle some old clothes in our clothing bank.
Hope the sun is shining whereever you are this morning. :o)

A little encouragement. . .

Well after what has been quite a hectic few weeks with one thing and another I decided it was about time I updated my lonely blog.
I went home this weekend so we could work some more on our house and also for an in-laws party. Luckily my fab Dad agreed to look after the sprog so we could head off to the party and relax for the evening. It was quite nice not to have to worry about what mischief he was getting up to every 5 minutes, especially after last week when attending another in-law party and he took a giant balloon out into the pub and started bashing a lady who smiled at him with it. (embarrassed me. . . not at all I hid in the back room and let Daddy and Great Uncle Stew collect the monkey).
I was pleasantly suprised to find an email in my in-box on Saturday afternoon telling me 'Skaterboy' had credited my account via paypal. It was my first sale from my own website Christal Creations rather than from my folksy page. Skaterboy is now the proud owner of one of my stock clearance items a hematite ankh cross which I would picture below but the picture function is not playing tonight. After thinking the website was not such a good idea it has given me a little bit of hope that things will pick up slowly.
I was also happy to finish a christening set this afternoon with the arrival of two very pretty silver crosses from Jewels 4 Girls. The christening was actually on Sunday but the jewellery was taken presented and withdrawn to be completed. Again I will add a picture when it lets me play.
Otherwise there has not been much to report. The little one has discovered the word NO and tantrums in the supermarket all in the space of three days which is lovely.
Take care for now. Hopefully it wont be so long between my next post.

Passing Time. . .

It seems an age since I have been on here and i'm not sure what I have to show for the seemingly busy period in which I have been absent.
The boxes are still not all unpacked and I fear may never be, I seem to have lost the original will to have a home for everything, perhaps somethings should live in boxes?!?
The work bench is more of a storage table and everytime something is taken off it seems something else appears.
I have made a custom order for a christening which I must photograph and picture on here before it wings it's way off to the recepiant.
I haven't uploaded any pictures since Xmas which is just crazy. I keep thinking i'll do it tomorrow and then other things happen.
I have done a mass load of ironing today which was quite satisfying and raked up some leaves in the garden though doubtless the wind will have them before i get rid of them, the weather doesn't seem to want to settle.
I do however have some PMC I was given for my birthday and I am itching to have a go with it, but I need to come up with some ideas first.
I don't have any related pictures but I thought this waterfall was pretty impressive so am sharing it with you.
